Dr. Pilot was born and raised in Bellevue. He attended Newport High School and went on to earn a BS in Biology at Pacific Lutheran University. He then attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1990.

Dr. Pilot has two daughters and is very active in the community. He is an avid Huskies fan.
